Reporting of Anti Social Behaviour

A response from Amalia Rodriguez:

The Home Office has delivered a leaflet to every home in Hackney with a telephone number to report Anti Social Behaviour which is 0208 356 3030. This number has been made available for everyone to use if they wish to; however, if residents have been contacting the Police SNT directly, this does not have to change if they are happy with the response obtained from them.
Just bear in mind that the 0208 356 3030 is there if they have any doubt about who to report to, or the SNT or other bodies are not coming back to them.

  1. Does anyone know who I can contact regarding noisy neighbours? I've got noisy neighbours on Leswin Road and am at a loss as to what approapriate route I need to take. Have tried the freindly neighbourly approach, but not really getting too far

  4. Thing is, this anti social behaviour needs a better solution. Over the years, whenever one reports some noisy flats ....it takes ages for the so called anti-pollution team to arrive. Then they have to enter your premises and listen to the noise. By that time maybe the noise has stopped or is in recess. If they go, then it starts again. Soon they have to come again ...and that is after a long time; because they are busy answering other calls and stuff. You end up spending all your night sleepless and inconvenienced by them and by the noise makers. There has to be a better way. Like here on Tyssen road there tends to be loud music up to four -five in the morning. But thinking to call these guys? You wonder.
Is this really the best way to solve the problem? There should be a quicker and efficient way to stop noisy neighbours, loud music during early hours and anti social behaviour.Go to countries like Finland or Germany where police are always ready to lend a hand to such matters. Not this useless "all night" red tape

  5. I totally agree. It needs to be nipped in the bud rather than letting it escalate
